Ok, so I used Propecia for 5/6 months and the end results were great even though I had some seriously horrible shedding periods.

Unfortunately I developed some unbearable side effects on the Propecia so the doctor recommended I come off it, so I did.

I then started using Nisim normal-dry shampoo and the results were brilliant. After about a week or so, hair stopped shedding and my hair looked thick and really amazing (thanks to both the re-growth from Propecia and thickness/non-shedding from Nisim)

Then around 2 months later I had a horrible shedding period, but continued to use Nisim daily 2X rinse as I had been doing. Unfortunately the Nisim couldn't stop the shedding, I thought it would.

The shed continued for around a Month.

I then stopped the Nisim last week and restarted after reading this forum. It seems to be working at the moment and has reduced the shedding and hair looks thicker, but unfortunately due to the shed, I've noticeably lost A LOT of hair.

Not too sure what the shed was down to (maybe stopping the Propecia, or alternatively it could have been the Nisim, or some other factor), but the question is, is there a chance some of this shed hair will grow back, or have I lost it for good?

Thanks for reading.

The shed was likely due to the propecia working its way out of your system.  Some people do experience shedding periods while using Nisim and as you have found often getting off it for a week often corrects that.  I suggest you start using the extract as well to grow back the hair you have lost.

Thanks for the reply.

I opted for the shampoo as I'm not a fan of topical rub-on lotions, especially since I use styling products.

Won't the shampoo alone possibly help me re-grow the hair I've lost due to the shed?

I don't particularly want to go back on Propecia but I may have too.

The shampoo will just prevent further hair loss.  Some people have said they have had some regrowth but nothing significant.
