There is NO ban from FDA, Health Canada OR ANY other Country regarding the use of Cocamide DEA. This is no different than the panic in recent years over SLS/SLES, and Parabens. It is a great example of very specific information taken out of context and thrown into the internet causing needless worry by some. Would Conglomerates like P&G as well as most Cosmetics Manufacturers Worldwide risk people’s health like this?? Does it also make sense that Most if not All Counties and their Governments would ban such dangerous ingredients? Common sense should, at some point prevail and these “ negative “ results purported to exist in various carcinogenic studies must be interpreted correctly and not out of context! If one were to slather almost ANY pure ingredient at 100% strength AND apply it to their freshly shaved skin AND leave it on for many, many hours or even days (as is reported in most of these Clinical Trials that contain the so called proof of Carcinogenicity) one is bound to observe a host of negative results ranging from redness/ itching/ swelling/right upto and including as contributors to major disease. We are HOWEVER dealing with ingredients approved across the board as safe, in miniscule percentages and specifically designed to be used topically for a few minutes and then thoroughly rinsed off. Slight difference in use? Common Sense…………..goes a long way. We are not familiar with ANY meaningful, authentic Study, to date, that lends credence to fears of Cocamide Dea ( or most other commonly used DEA derivatives ) being used in Shampoos/Conditioners, etc…. The following is a link from a respected site dealing with many concerns regarding Cosmetic Ingredients. http://www.cosmeticscop.com/skin-care-facts-diethanolamine-DEA-use-it-avoid-it.aspx All of our products in their final form have been tested and proven safe and non cancer causing. We require these tests and approvals to sell in every country we sell in around the world and there are some 30 plus countries where we have government approval to sell our products. We do however contstantly monitor various ingredients and look for more effective alternatives all the time.
