I started with Biofactors normal to oily shampoo with the gel extract. I did not buy the conditioner. I did not notice any problems. After about 6 weeks, I switched to FAST because I wanted to grow out of a bad hair cut. I did buy the conditioner and shampoo in this case. After two months, when I went back to Biofactors, I found the gel formulation extract very irritating and it made my scalp scaley and sore. Is there something about switching that did this? It was ok before I switched to FAST and I noticed increase hair growth on my hairline. Can I just use the Biofactors shampoo and conditioner and forget about the gel? I can't figure what triggered this reaction. I don't even get to use the extract twice a day with the soreness and pimples on my scalp. A kind of weeping dermatitis of the scalp. It goes way if I leave out the extract. Any ideas?

I dont think it would be anything to do with using FAST or stopping the biofactors. Maybe you should try the original formula. If you send and email to tom@nisim.com and tell refer to this post we will send you a sample of the original extract to try.

Thanks so much. I made a note of this forum number and on my next order will order the original formula of the extract instead of the gel formulation of the extract. Maybe there are different ingredients in it and I won't have the same reaction. Thank you, again.

Silly me! After I posted just before this, it did not hit me that I could try a sample. In my case, if it is ok, I will not break out instantly. I'm sending that e-mail off today and of course hoping I have no reaction to the original extract. Thanks again.

I got my sample to try out and I wanted to update my topic that with the regular Biofactors I had no trouble at all with my skin reacting on my scalp now. I also thought another reason I had more trouble with the more concentrated Biofactors was that I left the cap pushed up and forgot to close it. My room gets really hot in the summer. Maybe it evaporated and got more concentrated. When I re-order, I will buy the regular strength Biofactors so as not to have a allergic reaction though and be really mindful of not leaving the cap open ever. Thanks to Tom for sending that free sample right away for me to try to continue my regrowth. Best to Nisim for great products! Linkapoat
